An interesting WhiCo article

White Collar Being Rethought - beware of spoilers! That doesn't sound good... I mean, according to Jeff Eastin's Twitter (Jeff Eastin is the creator and exec of WhiCo), USA Network's panties are in a wad because of some negative reactions to the mid-season finale's twist - despite the fact that the twist has been planned since the very beginning. The show's filming will end on Dec. 18th so there's still time for USA to meddle in and force the writers to change things (USA forced their ideas in a similar way on the writers of In a Plain Sight - they made them scrape the whole season finale even though it was in the can already and change the direction of the whole show for the next season). It's making me kinda anxious - no good things ever came out of any network's meddling.

Oh crap! I loved the twist, though I do hope they don't make Peter be the bad guy or have him betray Neal (worries me that that particular tweet disappeared). And yet I hate hate hate it when the network sticks their stupid little fingers in the mix.

I think that the network is probably more worried about people ~seeing~ Peter as the bad guy, TPTB probably want the writers to un-do the twist somehow because I've seen people say that if Peter was the bad guy, they would drop the show entirely :(

See, I think I might like it if Peter was a little bit bad (not EVIL) and still had Neal's best interests at heart because that could be, what's the word I'm looking for? Oh yeah, FRELLING HOT! *g*

Hehe, I would be ecstatic if he went to such lengths to actually protect Neal. That would be even slashier! I didn't think it was even possible with this show, to be slashier than it is!

Or, you know, if Peter decided to handcuff Neal to his bed to protect him. *nods*

*eg*

True *nods* Though I have to wonder what El would say to that. Neal would hock all the blankets!

Neal would have to be in the middle, of course. *nods*
