I'm having a fangirlish moment here \o/ It was so, so good!

OMG, the special effects! Movie 1 times two! Awesome! The fight in which Megatron killed Optimus, oh wow! And then the big battle in Egypt! Wow!

Almost non-stop action, just what I expected! Great music too! And some parts were incredibly funny!

I'm very very happy with this movie! Another one that I will be definitely adding to my DVD collection!

ETA: OMG, in three days, this movie made 206+ mil. dollars worldwide already (125+ mil. in the US)! Like, wow!

I didn't love it quite as much as #1 but it was a close thing. I know the critics dissed it but I'd say that half the audience breaking out into spontaneous applause at the end was proof (one again) that most critics aren't worth the air it takes to vent their ideas. And yes, It'll be a definite buy when it comes out. *G*

To be perfectly honest, I wasn't really invested in the characters, I didn't go to see it because of Sam and Mikaela or Lennox - like I went to see Fast and Furious because I wanted to see more of Brian and Dom - but because of the 'bots and the big ka-boom :P And in that regard, I was more than satisfied :)

It was so bad for the things you mentioned :) i like transformers but ehm Bay made a crappy thing it was almost like shit in velvet :) but yep i liked the flashy cars and fights but this is good for 10 minutes not for nearly two hours. There should be some plot included, but I think i am too harsh on children movie:)

Well, I loved it. I didn't think it was "shit" and I actually liked the story, it was easy to comprehend and follow. The flashy cars and fights kept me interested the whole thing long - they were why I went to see it, not for deep character interaction or whatever. It was perfect as it was and I wouldn't change a thing about it.

My thoughts about Dark Knight were pretty similar to yours about Transformers 2 - great action but otherwise lame and overhyped *shrugs* To each its own.

yep that is it, we should warn each other next time. I liked Dark knight a lot so it meant you would not like that movie and vice versa :) I think we are good indicators for each other to save money and time. Same goes with the books I think, which is very good for the same.
