Me? I don't think I will join. Why? The LJ developers don't care and their Russian bosses could care even less. It won't hurt them financially. They're businessmen and money is all they care about. They are so not interested in what we think.

I checked 'no' because I have no intention of boycotting LJ that day - or any other day - but irony being what it is, I'm pretty sure I won't have anything to say on Friday or I'll just be busy elsewhere so I might not be here, anyway. But it won't be because I join the strike, not at all :-)

Well, I did post twice this week, and we're Thursday so that's still once every two day... which, yes, isn't that much compared to some weeks where it's one post a day :-)

Sometimes you're just too busy or too tired or too whatever to post, you know?

Knowing me, I won't post on Friday anyway, but not because of the strike. I read the interview with the one of the Russian people, and he was an absolute prick. He doesn't give a damn.

And, the plus accounts aren't that much of a bother, are they?

I have a Paid account so I could care less about Basic accounts. I have no intention to create another LJ. I have an IJ as a back-up now that GJ went buh-bye. Besides, Ad-block solves all the problems with unwanted ads :)

I don't like the man who is the head of SUP (read his interview), I don't like the situation overall, and especially do not like the image that it is giving to Russians (I'm from Russia). But for me my decision is more important than the final result.

I do understand why people want to strike. But I don't think that it'll help :( As long as it won't affect their financial status, they won't care. That's business :( But I do respect the users' decision to strike!

Honestly, who the hell would care? One day of striking does not mean anything when it comes to database measurement. You can even call it a glitch and move on.

Thing is, last time I checked, LJ is a freaking business. Sure, they may suck at PR, but if that's the case, you are welcome to leave LJ and find a better alternative. It probably sounds like I'm defending them, but the truth is, I'm so not. I don't even care. I just do not get why it's a 'big thing', apparently that they are not going to issue free accounts anymore.

It's their company, bottom line.

Oh god, I need to stop typing. I'm sounding so anal even to my own ears.

Hehe, I don't have a problem with them getting rid of the Basic accounts either. I mean, they bring them no profit. Though I do dislike the way they handle various issues, especially anything sex related X( But their PR won't get suddenly better just because we don't post anything for a day...
