Poll - Book reviews

My dear flist, I would like to ask you to participate in this poll and vote. Even if you don't read the reviews, vote please. The book reviews are sometimes time consuming and I just wonder if all the effort is worth the result :)

[Poll #771078]

I tend to skim through the reviews. I like seeing what you're reading, but I don't read much that isn't online any more. My eyes aren't as good as they used to be, and I typeset and proofread books for a living. It makes it harder to read books for fun now.

:D And I translate books and work on computer the whole day so I like to sit down or lay down and read the book just for fun. I usually like books that most other people - at least here in the Czech Republic - don't like so the genre is mostly different :)

I really wish I had the time to find and read all the books you recommended. ^^;; *is so busy and argh*

I'm rather busy too. But I think for me it's a bit easier because I work from home and work with books at the same time :D But it's great when i can then read a book just for fun and not to make a review or translate it. It's like a bit of fresh air! :D

I have really weird tastes so for me it's rather difficult to find books I could like. You can't search for titles by using criteria like "male friendship" or "matriarchal society" XD

I think the Barnes&Noble (www.bn.com) allows you to search like that. Somewhat like that. ^^;

I wish I could find time to read... just read. But mostly I'm occupying myself with fanfics. XD;; I don't know if that's a good thing.

Barnes&Noble, huh? I will have to check that one out. Thank you!

And I don't read fanfiction anymore to be honest. I've decided to go back to books and I can't keep up with both :(

I find them helpful because they'll either intrigue me enough that I look for the book - even purchase it sometimes - or tell me that really, that book is just not for me because it's absolutely not something that would interest me :-)

I'm happy that I can help. Books and now manga are a big passion of mine. Just this month, I bought manga for 100 USD! >.< Yeah, that's me. But it's stronger than me... and the fact that I bought four new bookcases doesn't help. The need to fill them with goodies makes my fingers itch! ^_^
