Movies on DVD 43/50: The Woman in Black

Christ, that was scary. The way the Woman in Black appeared in the window or behind the hero, when she just walked by without him noticing... O.O I own the book and I read it but it wasn't nearly as scary as actually seeing it on-screen. And the ending, what a weird happy end, let me tell you. It was so different from the book. So, to sum it up, don't watch it with your lights off unless you really want to feel scared. Also, I admit that it was strange for me to see Daniel Radcliffe as anything but Harry Potter. Just, you know, weird.

I agree, it is scary. I saw it in the theater when it first came out and judging by the reaction of the other theater goers, I wasn't the only one who thought it was scary. I've added it to my DVD collection but I haven't watched it a second time. It is weird seeing Daniel Radcliffe as anything but Harry Potter.

I saw DR in Now You See Me 2 and that was super weird too. So strange.

Haven't seen this though.

Not as good as the first, but not a disaster, and fun with some cool tricks. You've got lowered expectations already, you'll be fine! *g*
