My Affection for This Man...

Oh, folks, I don't think you understand the depth of my affection for this man. As an actor, I mean. As far as his personal life is concerned, I'm glad that he's happily married and a great dad of a little girl, I'm glad that he and his co-star, Tom Hiddleston, get along fabulously - Chris said that the Hemsworths made Tom a honorary member and Tom is even Chris' daughter's godfather, which is just awesome! - but that's as far as it goes for me. I prefer not knowing more, TBH.

But as an actor! Man, I'm glad that he's only 30 and I hope he will make MANY more movies in the future. Out of his latest movies, Red Dawn is the only one I kinda don't plan on seeing, since it's a depressing film and if it follows the original with Patrick Swayze, I would definitely cry. I liked Cabin in the Woods but I honestly don't get the hype, I'm just glad that this part got him Thor. But his God of Thunder... Man! *_* Marvel couldn't have chosen a better Thor. He's perfect, literally, in that part! And Show White and the Huntsman - gosh, I have seen the movie so many times already and I love it so much, especially Erik's relationship with Snow... *_* It's just too bad I missed Rush in the cinema, though I plan on getting it on DVD ASAP. And next year, there will be Cypher and In the Heart of the Sea - though I'm not so sure about the latter since it's basically a survivor drama, but I hear the book is excellent, so... And then he will be filming The Avengers: Age of Ultron! And hopefully, Show White and the Huntsman 2! I'm just sad he turned down the lead part in American Assassin :(

Basically, I can't wait to find out what other movies he will be in! Love the guy so, so much. His smile, his blue-blue eyes... *_*

Anthony Hopkins on Chris Hemsworth

We were doing a scene at night recently and there were four of us out on a balcony, including Chris. I went to check the playback on the monitor and I said to the director, ‘He really does look like a god. He looks like a Nordic god.’
