Merlin 403

I have this feeling that what happened in this episode will come back and bite Merlin in the butt hard :(

I think - and this is just my speculation - that Arthur will find out about Merlin's magic soon-ish and that he will ban Merlin from Camelot. He wouldn't let him burn on the stake, for that he considers him too good a friend, but I think will feel so betrayed that he will ban Merlin. Merlin will, of course, stay close and try to protect Arthur anyway but there will be some bromance break up and dark angst, IMO.

I literally had tears in my eyes when Arthur told Merlin that he would forever hate magic because it was an evil thing. Oh, Merlin... And when Arthur opened the door and found Merlin sitting there, on the floor in the hall... ;_;

But the scenes with Arthur and old!Merlin were hilarious. It looked like the actors had a blast!

Inclined to agree about Arthur finding out soon - because this episode seemed to have a theme of contrasting Arthur's thoughts about magic and his thoughts about Merlin.

Were you thinking his reaction would be along the lines of "Just get out, I don't want to hear it, just get out"?

I'm just imagining this very dramatic scene with Bradley James hamming up a never return speech :)

Were you thinking of something like a public trial with banishment being the result there? Just trying to clarify.
