"The Keeper on the Other Side" by RyuuzaKochou | Post-movie, h/c | Charles/Erik | Charles Xavier's long lost step brother is back in town and it...doesn't go well. Charles and Erik find out they are still bonded and still friends from the hospital bed aftermath. | ~4.100 words
I love the imagery in this fic, the landscape of Charles' mind. Beautiful. Also, according to the author, it's a slash fic but you could also read it as gen, just with friends deeply devoted to each other, as it is shown in the movie.
Then he pressed dry lips to Charles forehead before turning towards the door. “You’re a horrendously complicated, crazy man, Charles Xavier. Not many men could get an enemy to save their lives.”
Not my enemy, Charles repeated, and sleepiness slid his eyes closed. You are my dear friend. You just happen to be on the other side.
