Facing Kate, anyone?

As TVBytheNumbers.com said: USA Network Greenlights New Original Series Facing Kate. Sarah Shahi and Michael Trucco star. But as much as I adore Michael Trucco - and I do, since Pensacola - I don't feel any urge to actually watch this show. The synopsis sounds simply... boring:

Facing Kate centers on Kate Reed (Sarah Shahi), a top litigator who became frustrated with the endless bureaucracy and injustice she witnessed on a daily basis and decided to become the ultimate anti-lawyer: a mediator. Using her knowledge of the law, along with intuition and a whatever-it-takes approach to resolving conflict, Kate finds the middle ground for a wide variety of adversaries — from Fortune 500 corporations to bitter divorcees. After the death of her father, she finds herself at odds with her new boss, her stepmother (Virginia Williams) ... and in bed with her ex-husband (Michael Trucco), himself a lawyer in the DA’s office. Helping her keep all of this chaos at bay is her trusted, geek chic assistant Leonardo (Baron Vaughn).

Another lawyer show? I hate shows about a) lawyers and b) doctors. And a mediator? Mediating between divorcees? And having an ex-husband with whom she'll have hot UST but will bicker and banter because he'll be her adversary ep in, ep out? *sigh* I'm sorry but that doesn't sound exciting at all. I will give the first ep a try but I do hope that it'll somehow blow my mind from the get-go. The synopsis itself... Nya nya.

Yeah - this is not going to get my love either. I know mediators and mediation (been there, done that) - there is nothing glamorous or interesting. Sort of like watching paint dry.

It really does sound boring, doesn't it? I hope that they can make it work regardless. I mean, In Plain Sight sounded great - and in the end it bored me to tears. Hopefully, this will go the other way around.

Spoon! How I wish that show sounded better and not like a mash of The Closer, Raising The Bar, and maybe even Castle (etc.)

They should just put Pensacola reruns back on in the mornings. I miss that show. ^-^

I loved Spoon! And his friendship with Burner! It's just that this premise sounds really predictable so I hope that they will make it somehow work...
