Actually, I love both pairings for different reasons. John and Rodney's verbal sparring made the show a win for me. Once the writers dialed it down to nothing in S5, the eps became only mediocre entertainment for me. On the other hand John and Ronon, well, there's no doubt that for Ronon, John became the center of his universe. He latched onto John real tight and nothing could enrage him more than when anything happened to John - like in Common Ground \o/ Too bad that there aren't more fics about these two, gen or slash.
