"Mom?"
Lisa raised her head and looked at her son from where she was sitting, slumped on the bottom step of the staircase. "Yes, Ben?"
The boy came closer. "Dean's my dad, isn't he?" Ben whispered.
More tears rolled down her wet cheeks. "Yes, honey," she answered just as softly.
Ben stepped between her knees and hugged her tight around the neck. "But we mustn't tell him, right? We have to protect him, right?"
Lisa cried desperately, caressing the feathers of the raven black wings that shot out of the boy's back and hid them from the world. "Right, sweetie."

For such a short piece, you really managed to hit all my kinks - Dean with children, wing!fic, and a nicely ambiguous ending to boot. I love that Lisa's last line could be interpreted as her confirming her son's statement or her essentially lying to Ben because she's trying to protect him from Dean (not knowing that Dean sees shades of grey when it comes to the supernatural).
Okay, this also makes me want wing!fic with Dean and Sam tracking a winged creature that turns out to be Ben. *happy sigh*
