DVD: Thor: The Dark World

Thor 2 it was tonight! I liked the second movie much more than the first one - not that I didn't like the first one, I did, a lot, but in the first one, Thor was basically a jock who needed to be taught a lesson. In the second movie, I really loved Thor as a character. He was brave and smart and funny - but there was this deep... sadness in him. First because of Jane, then because of his mother and Loki.

Speaking of Loki. I wonder if he really does love Thor. I think he does. He doesn't like it and he tries to stomp his feelings for his step-brother into the ground whenever possible, he intentionally does stuff that he knows will hurt Thor because he's convinced that he will then stop loving Thor, once Thor stops loving him. He's like a child that way. But at the end of the day, I think he loves Thor deeply, maybe even more than Freya. Not that he would not kill him, but not because he actually wants Thor dead, but because he thinks he *should* want Thor dead. He would kill Thor and pretend that he doesn't mind - but he would forever suffer, missing him. Loki would hurt himself just to spite others, even when there's no need for it. He's a fascinating character. But I won't lie, it set my heart aflutter when he saved Thor's life.

Also, Jane Foster is rocking awesome. I know that everybody and their uncle is all up in Black Widow's butt, but I like Jane and Sif better *shrugs*
