katikat | It's Great to Be a Multi-shipper! Teen Wolf Edition

On TW, I pretty much ship anyone with Stiles. Be it Sterek, Sciles, Stydia... And it's great because I don't really care with whom Stiles ends up - in the show and in fics - as long as it's one of these people. And I'm loving what the actors have been saying about their character's relationship with Stiles this season...

I think the Stiles and Derek relationship, in the same way that Derek has come to trust Scott a little more, I think Derek has come to giving Stiles a little bit more credit for what he’s been able to contribute, all of the things that they’ve gone through, and how instrumental he’s been. You’ll probably see a lot more concern from Derek than you would have in the first two or three seasons where he would have been like, “Just kill him…because I don’t like him anyway…and it’s an easy reason to get him out of here.” I think you’ll actually see a little bit more concern and care from Derek.

I'm really loving Derek this season. Now that he isn't the Alpha anymore, it feels like a huge weight dropped off his shoulders. And I'm glad that they are slowly developing Derek and Stiles' friendship. Like in the latest episode, when he jump started Stiles' jeep because it was needed and everybody else was otherwise occupied. Or when he figured out how Stiles got taken over by the nogitsune, that was lovely...

How will Lydia react to the news? With denial, of course. However, she may also have a plan to save Stiles. “There is a new gravitation toward Stiles. We don’t know what those feelings are in particular, but there are feelings involved,” Holland Roden playfully hinted. “I think Lydia is starting to suspect that something is off with Stiles, and there’s a bit of denial at first — and you’ll find out later down the road why. It’s almost hard to believe it could be him. She thinks there’s something else at hand, and so Lydia is always one step ahead in thinking what it could be.”

And for all you Stydia fans wondering if this will lead to a declaration of love between the two, Holland said “be patient.” She added: “I think the fans want there to be feelings for Stiles… Ultimately, I think the Stydia fans will be pleased with the outcome.”

Lovely, isn't it? I hope there really IS something else going on with Stiles besides the nogitsune stuff. And I would love for Lydia to be the one to figure it out, she was his anchor, after all...
