Let's celebrate the women of Warehouse 13!

Fantastic female characters, that's one of the reasons why I love Warehouse 13 so much. I think that most writers out there could learn a thing or a dozen from this show about how to write a kick-ass - both literally and figuratively - women who're both strong and likable, women whose strength doesn't depend on just how bitchy they are - see most female characters in charge on TV these days.

So, let's celebrate the awesomeness that's W13 women - regular, recurring and guest-starring...

Myka Bering who was pre-med and pre-law before she joined the secret service. She loves books, she speaks several languages and she doesn't want children in any foreseeable future.

Claudia Donovan who - after a lengthy stay in a psychiatric ward - became the tech wizard of Warehouse 13, destined to become the new Guardian. She's very protective of one Steve Jinks.

Leena who owns the B&B where everybody is living, she can see auras and instinctively understands what artifacts need.

Mrs. Frederic, the Guardian of Warehouse 13, almost immortal and a real no-nonsense lady. She runs the whole circus.

HG Wells, an adventurer, writer and time-traveler, a redeemed criminal and one-time agent of the previous Warehouse.

Jane Lattimer, one of the Regents - and also Pete's mother. She joined the Regents because of her affinity for helping children.

Dr. Vanessa Calder, an epidemiologist and Artie's lady friend who doesn't mind getting involved in the whole Warehouse business.

Amanda Lattimer, Pete's ex-wife and a professional soldier.

Deb who has - so far - appeared in only 1 episode but who made a huge impression. Because of her determination to uncover the secret behind Warehouse 13 but also because of what she sacrificed to protect it she was offered a place among the Regents.

If you're looking for a show with women you can love, search no more - Warehouse 13 it is!
