National Treasure

Quite an enjoyable romp! I'm not the biggest fan of Nicolas Cage but I don't hate him either. My like or dislike for him mostly depends on how good his part in a particular movie is. And Ben Gates was quite a fun part. I liked that Ben wasn't a macho guy. He was actually quite verklempft when it came to dealing with Abigail. But I liked how determined he was to keep the treasure out of Ian's hands.

I really liked Sean Bean in this movie. Again, I don't love him as an actor but I don't hate him either. I don't seek out his movies because mostly, he plays the bad guys. Oh, not that he isn't an awesome actor, I just need to root for characters to like them. In this movie, I liked that he actually cared about his crew, that they weren't disposable to him. Even outsiders like Ben and Riley he didn't try to kill lightly, he had regrets. But his core crew were actually his friends. That was quite unusual in a movie like that. Oh, and on a shallow note, I never realized just how green Sean Bean's eyes were.

And Ian's crew and the FBI agents! It was like playing "spot the actor"! So many famous TV actors: Erik King, Mark Pellegrino, David Dayan Fisher, Stewart Finlay-McLennan...

Oh, and Diane Kruger... Joshua Jackson - Peter in Fringe - is a lucky, lucky guy *_*
