Wonderfully drawn yet incredibly bleak, that's why I'm giving it only 3 stars. From the very beginning you know this story will end badly for everyone involved, it's like watching a train wreck. Anyone who gets close to Ashura and Yasha ends up dead. Anyone and everyone. And they mostly die in a very cruel fashion, as is Clamp's trademark. When Ashura talked about Gigei and how much Ashura loved her while she was already dead, murdered, and they didn't even know, I actually had tears in my eyes. Not even the short funny scenes with Ashura being cute as a button make this manga any less bleak.
