I can't stop re-watching...
... The diner scene. Yes, yes, I'm talking about this week's Supernatural!
I wondered what happened to the 5th shell when Dean handed them out and had none left. I want to see many fics with weird effects the pheonix ash could have on Dean. I mean, it's the ash of a mythical being. Something so powerful it killed the Mother of All. Just imagine how much fun fanfic authors could have with it!
Dean was so awesome in this scene. And Jensen played it so well: scared but determined. When he said, the answer is still no, and Eve popped up behind him, I jumped! That was so well done. And then he said, bite me, and she did and Sam struggled and Cas even called out Dean's name!
And I loved how the scene ended, when Cas yelled at them to shield their eyes and then used his powers to smite the demons. That was fantastic! I love me some BAMF Castiel!
I think that the scene worked so amazingly well because of the music too. There was no melody to it, just this long, uninterrupted tone in the background that made it even scarier.
Oh, and the last scene was fantastic too: the music, Cas walking among the dead bodies and then Crowley popping up. It had a very... Twin Peaks feel to it.
I think that this episode - and this scene in particular - proved that Dean's at the center of all the relationships in this show, he's the focus. For Bobby, he's his favorite "son". With Castiel, he shares a "profound bond". And for Sam, he's the most beloved person in the world. And I mean that in a perfectly gen way. I think Dean's the one holding them all together.
